The 30th edition of the Exhibition of Plastic Arts of the Principality of Asturias arrives at the Sala de Arte Joven together with the winning project of the LABjoven Los Bragales Award, jointly convened by La Laboral and the Los Bragales Collection.
The exhibition has a common denominator: the current trend based on data: surveys, statistics and algorithmic logic in an artistic key and seen through the eyes of Elisa Cuesta (Young Asturias Award for Plastic Arts 2019), Mon Cabrales, Dela Delos, Juan Falcón, Jorge Fernández Valdés, Noemi Iglesias and Nacho Izkierdo.
In this podcast we talk about it with the curator of the exhibition, Luis Feás, the exhibition coordinator, Nieves Paniagua, and the cultural journalist Emma Trinidad.

Conversation about the exhibition "Bright cover, thin margin", by Fuentesal & Arenillas, the winning project of the III edition of the First Phase call. Community of Madrid Artistic Production Program - DKV, which aims to facilitate the realization of the first individual exhibition of artists under 35 years of age in an institutional space.
The sample unfolds in the space composing a stage in which the usual materials in its practice generate forms and formal compositions.

“Easy Apply! The exhibition of Circuits of Plastic Arts, an open call to young artists under 35 years of age residing in the region, includes the work of 10 creators, can be visited until January 21, 2024 in the Young Art Room, with free admission.
In this edition, the artistic works of Juan de Andrés Arias, Inés Cámara Leret, Manuel Franquelo, Isabel Merchante, Clara Moreno, Ignacio Navas, Fran Sabariego Uceda/Pasionela, Laura San Segundo, Miguel Sbastida and Elián Stolarsky are presented. All of them make up a panorama of current artistic expression, in which the spirit of the current times and contemporary identity are evident.

"Archaeologies of the present. Five reimaginings of our built heritage" proposes a series of fictional works about a different present. The urgency of the climate crisis has led the curators of this exhibition to propose a project in which they reflect on questions such as what would our world be made of today if fifty years ago we had decided to do without fossil fuels? What would be the materials that would make up the cities, landscapes and monuments of an alternative present, now far removed from the climate emergency?

“We wander around in the night and are devoured by fire” is the first exhibition of the “Common Multiple” project, which is based on the reconfiguration of the role of art curatorship.
"Múltiplo Común" has its origin in "Circuitos de Artes Plásticas", the historic event of the Community of Madrid, which this year celebrates its 35th edition. And with this origin, the Sala de Arte Joven has invited Carlos Maciá and Cristina Mejías, two artists from different genealogies who are part of this already historic quarry that has shaped the contemporary Madrid scene, to take on an experimental role and outline a possible reading of the current artistic context.
The exhibition features the participation of 16 creators: Adrián Vilar + Daniela Castanedo, Aïcha Trinidad, Élan d´Orphium, Elisa Pardo Puch, Geo Hutton, Kike García, Lara Salous, Louana Gentner, Marta Abril + Fco.
