The free movement of people
As an EU citizen, when transferring your residence to another country in the Union, you must know what rights you have, what the administrative procedures are prior to your departure, as well as the legal and institutional framework of the destination country.
The free movement of people is a fundamental principle guaranteed by the European Union. Every person residing in the EU has the right to move to another Member State or to live, study, work, settle or provide a service in it without being discriminated against on the grounds of nationality.
You have the right to receive the same treatment as the citizens of the country of destination, in aspects such as access to employment, schooling for your children, Social Security benefits, etc.
