This section offers several actions carried out by the Region of Madrid that have set a paradigm in top quality administration. Some examples include the business incubator of the European Space Agency in the Region of Madrid that supports the set-up of technology-oriented companies in the space sector. The Regional Transportation Consortium is a benchmark in passenger transportation. IMIDRA (Madrid Institute of Rural, Agricultural and Food Research and Development) spearheads innovation in the farming sector and contributes to the transfer of research findings. Through ERICAM (Emergency and Immediate Response Service of the Region of Madrid), the bodies of the Region of Madrid provide coordinated assistance in the event of disasters, while the 112 Emergency Centre coordinates the handling of emergencies in the region. Madrid public hospitals are an international benchmark in their respective fields.
