Rascafría

Located in a place of extraordinary beauty in the Sierra de Guadarrama, in the Alto del Lozoya Valley. Rascafría stands out, without a doubt, for Monastery of El Paular, founded in the XNUMXth century as the Cartuja de Santa María de El Paular, the first Cartuja of Castile. Today, it is still inhabited by a small community of monks and can be visited.

Another draw is the traditional highland architecture, such as Casona the XNUMXth century manor, the Postas or that of  Batanes (XNUMXth and XNUMXth centuries respectively) as well as the El Perdón and La Reina bridges (S.XVIII).
