Natural and archaeological heritage in the Sierra

The most representative "black architecture" village in the Region of Madrid

Perched in the Sierra Norte mountain range, it has managed to preserve the traditional slate architecture steeped in unique history, thanks to its own legacy as an independent kingdom in the XNUMXth century and during the Napoleonic occupation.

Its immediate surroundings preserve fascinating archaeological and industrial gems of heritage, including the accessible Dehesa de la Olivathe Atazar Dam, Atazar, which collects waters from Lozoya or the Cabarrús Canal.
