Selection process "Fotocanal. Photography book"
Aimed at any photographer regardless of nationality, place of residence or age
Since 2016, the General Directorate of Culture and Creative Industries has launched "Photochannel. Photography book ", an annual selective process whose objective is the selection of a photographic project to produce a publication co-edited by the Community of Madrid and Ediciones Anómalas (2016-2021), Dispara (2022-2024) and Dalpine (2025)
Fotocanal has a national and international vocation, since photographers can be presented without limitations of nationality or place of residence. The subject of the project is free and the only condition imposed is that the work must be unpublished.
The Community of Madrid considers support for the visual arts as one of the priorities of its cultural policy. For this reason, it develops an extensive program of exhibitions, projects and activities that aim to disseminate the work of both the great masters of photography and emerging and mid-career creators, promoting public access and knowledge of the different manifestations and trends around the photographic event, favoring debate and study on photographic production and stimulating the artistic context in the region.
