The Community of Madrid, aware of the relevance of commerce, made up of a rich and wide offer that ranges from the most traditional to the most innovative commerce, as one of the most relevant productive sectors of the economic fabric, develops a promotional strategy through the Management General of Commerce, Consumption and Services, in collaboration with the different City Councils and Associations of the sector.
Promotional actions such as campaigns, street marketing, prizes and contests, detox actions, exhibitions, promotions at points of sale, tastings, demonstrations, technical seminars, workshops, conferences and professional seminars, including their promotional elements as well as those based on in ICT (microsite, APP, web ...).
Aid for Merchant Associations


Aid to support associations, federations and confederations that carry out their activity in the Community of Madrid, to contribute to the development of promotional activities and projects to digitalize retail trade and services.

Magical Days of the Shops in the Community of Madrid
A campaign to promote retail and local commerce by carrying out actions linked to magic shows in different municipalities of the Community of Madrid, to capture the attention of families and consumers.
A proposal that invites citizens to go out into the streets and enjoy shopping and benefit from the offers of merchants and the suggestive proposals for shows.
What is
Shops from various municipalities in the region joined this initiative with the aim of making themselves known and giving the participating public who came to their establishments the opportunity to benefit from discounts, offers and promotions.
The campaign was accompanied by a series of free street shows so that the whole family could enjoy and benefit from the advantages of this trade stimulation programme.

Technical assistance in the area of organization, promotion and promotion of commercial activity
The Community supports commercial activity by promoting technical assistance for the professional development of certain sectors.
Through an Agreement, it collaborates with associations of merchants representing priority sectors in which improvement aspects have been detected as a result of the program "Global Diagnosis of the small retail business of the Community".
Specifically, the so-called "Collaboration Agreement for the provision of technical assistance in matters of management, promotion and promotion of commercial activity", has signed agreements with associations from the perishable goods retail trade, hardware stores, florists, street vendors, bookstores, newspapers, household appliances/household appliances, opticians, jewelry, textiles, clothing, and fashion sectors. As a new development, in 2024, a new association representing the services sector was incorporated, in accordance with the new responsibilities assumed by the Directorate General of Commerce, Consumption, and Services: ASTYLCAM, the Association of Dry Cleaners and Laundries of the Community of Madrid. And in 2025, two more new associations will join: the Association of Automotive Repair Shops and the Association of Fish Wholesalers of Madrid.
Small Business Global Diagnostic Program
Within the framework of the Program to Promote the Competitiveness of Small Retail Trade, initiated in 2016, the Global Diagnosis of Small Retail Trade of the Community of Madrid, which has been analyzing over the years the competitive situation of businesses located in those commercial areas and sectors characterized by a greater risk of loss of competitiveness.
Through this program, the Community of Madrid has been providing participating businesses in Madrid with the necessary information about the business management, the adequacy of your business, customer service, sales techniques or the use of new technologies, in other aspects.
