Risk Analysis and Emergency Management in Cultural Heritage

Held in the El Águila auditorium, the Seminar on Risk Analysis and Emergency Management in Cultural Heritage, Its objective was to promote coordination between the different agents involved in the rescue and safeguarding of cultural heritage and to raise awareness about the importance of its conservation.

Under the scientific coordination of Charo Fernández de las Heras, the conference was planned as the first meeting of specialists dedicated to the prevention, planning and implementation of protocols for action in the event of an emergency in cultural heritage. The day reflected on the preservation of heritage in the face of the risks to which it is exposed: from natural catastrophes such as earthquakes, floods or volcanic eruptions, to vandalism or armed conflicts.

In turn, it served as a starting point to publicize the safeguard sheets, a tool developed and promoted by the General Sub-Directorate of Historical Heritage for operational management in cases of emergency in protected properties as Assets of Cultural Interest or Assets of Heritage Interest. of the Community of Madrid.
