CIEP5: Heritage communities and digital environments
Organized in collaboration between the OEPE, Heritage Education Observatory in Spain, the IPCE, Institute of Cultural Heritage of Spain and the Madrid's community, always within the framework of the National Education and Heritage Plan, the International Congress on Heritage Education consolidates itself as a world reference in this field with the celebration of the V Congress, CIEP5, and incorporates Madrid City Council to the organization of the event.
The CIEP takes advantage of the international contacts generated to create a European research action in heritage education, in which special relevance is given to the precepts of the Faro Convention, which places people as the main protagonists in heritage management.
ICP 5
The four previous editions focused on educational fields, global contexts (Europe and Latin America) and the concept of heritage community and brought together the best specialists in the field, collaborating with Spanish scientific journals such as Clio, Pulse y Essays and pedagogical studies.
The V edition of the CIEP, Heritage communities and digital environments, leads a committed reflection on both physical and virtual contexts, increasingly frequent educational management of heritage, without leaving aside any of the connections between heritage and society.
