That's how it was...Series of conferences: Ladies and gentlemen of the palaces of Madrid
The Madrid palaces are emanations of very real people, who commissioned them, gave them shape and lived in them; They are the protagonists of this cycle of Welcome to the Palace! made in 2019
After the analysis of the architecture and the daily life of the palaces that were analyzed in the two previous editions, in this cycle of conferences he delved into the characters who promoted and resided in the palaces of the capital. Cradle nobles, new aristocrats and ennobled bourgeois who lived, and in some cases, endowed these residences with the uniqueness and beauty that we can contemplate and enjoy today. Each session was held in the palaces of whose stories these characters were part.
The cycle was scientifically coordinated by José Luis Sancho Gaspar, researcher at National Heritage.

Palacios de Madrid, edited by the Community of Madrid, shows the palatial architectural wealth of the region and makes known its heritage and artistic historical value, in addition to analyzing the cultural and social context in which they were conceived.
The volume illustrates a total of 110 palaces distributed according to their typology and historical period. The palaces belong to the period between the Middle Ages and the Second Republic, because it is at this stage that this architectural typology, typical of a court society around the figure of a sovereign, develops.
