Summary of all the activities carried out in Welcome to the Palace! 2018, fifth edition
The General Directorate of Cultural Heritage organized between the months of May 2018 and January 2019 the fifth edition of Welcome to the Palace !, a program in which guided tours, theatrical visits, concerts and conferences allowed Madrid to enjoy a extraordinary selection of palaces in the region.
More than fourteen thousand people participated in this edition, encouraged by the possibility of visiting these spaces, whose access - either due to their ownership or their use - is normally restricted.
Conferences Welcome to 2018 Palace
under the motto Life in the palaces of Madrid 1850-1920 13 conferences scientifically coordinated by José Luis Sancho Gaspar, researcher in National Heritage, were held in the following palaces.

Concerts Welcome to 2018 Palace
On May 24, the first concert of Welcome to the Palace! 2018 at the Palace of Fontalba. The cycle was made up of a total of 14 concerts that were held in the following palaces. You can consult the complete program of them by clicking on the name of each palace.

The musical commissioner of the concert cycle was performed by Esther Viñuela Lozano, project manager at the Reina Sofía Higher School of Music.
Guided tours Welcome to 2018 Palace
In 2018, twelve thousand places were offered for the guided tours activity. The visits were organized in a first period from April to August and in a second cycle from September to December. The visits are guided by specialists in Heritage didactics, who explain the architectural and ornamental evolution of the buildings, as well as the various functions they have had throughout their history.

Theatrical visits Welcome to 2018 Palace
From December 22, 2018 to January 4, 2019, more than 800 people participated in the theatrical visits to the Palace of the duke by Fernán Núñez (Foundation of the Spanish Railways).
The visits were oriented to children audience accompanied by adults and they recreated the history of the palace and its former residents.
The artistic direction of these theatrical visits was carried out by Nuria Alkorta, Professor of Interpretation at the Royal Superior School of Dramatic Arts in Madrid.
