In the second celebration of 1935 the novillero Félix Almagro was wounded, the first wounded in the square. Resumed the celebrations after the Civil War, the same novillero would be the first dead by bull horn in the arena venteño.
The 2 of April of 1936, there is the first performance of a bullfighter in the square, Juanita Cruz, who, in addition, would be awarded with a return to the ring.
The 15 of October of 1939, the run for rain is suspended in the first bull. Due to the interest aroused by the poster formed by Marcial Lalanda, Pepe Bienvenida, Manolete and Juan Belmonte, as a rejoneador, it continues the same two days later.
The 20 of October of 1940, a run is celebrated in honor of Himmler, with Marcial Lalanda, Gallito, and Pepe Luis Vázquez, who is suspended in the third bull by the rain.
The 18 May 1941, a bull of Concha and Sierra, mortally wounds the right-hander Pascual Márquez. He is the only dead bullfighter in the Plaza de Las Ventas.
The 15 of July of 1943, Manuel Rodríguez "Manolete", rejected an ear that was granted by the Presidency, giving exclusively the return to the ring.
12th October 1943. He says goodbye to the Nicanor Villalta, with an apotheosis exit on the shoulders of the Puerta Grande.
August 17th, 1947. In the course of the novillada that was celebrated that day, the novillero Manuel Pascual was launched into the ring and made the popular Don Tancredo.
May 17th 1949. Luis Miguel Dominguín, whom the public of Madrid had received in a very cold way, stood in the center of the circle to self-proclaim with the index finger of the right hand in vertical toward the sky the "number one of bullfighting", which supposed a rain of insults and expletives towards the minor of the "Dominguines", which perpetuated a lasting controversy not only in the arena of Las Ventas, but in other Spanish squares.
March 14th 1950. In the first celebration of the season, a novillada of Estaban y Auxilio de Yruelo, the cattle come to bear the not insignificant figure of 32 varas.
May 30th 1954. Antonio Bienvenida closes with 6 bulls and everything goes perfectly from start to finish. Triumphal afternoon, which extends beyond the outskirts of the square, as the fans arrive before the house of the bullfather's mother, and do not stop cheering for several hours.
6th October 1957. The third bull of Flores Albarrán jumped into the alley and wounded a carpenter in the plaza, Pablo Pérez Gómez who would die in the infirmary.
July 31th,1955. The picador Sixto Vázquez, for his good execution of the third of rods was forced by the public to go around the ring.
April 19th 1959. For the first time concentric circles were drawn in the ring. These marks delimit the terrain that the picadores must not cross when executing the luck and the one that marks the limit where the right-handers must leave the bull to initiate this luck. One circumference is 7 meters from the tables and another one to 9 meters.
April 17th 1960. With the bullfight that was celebrated that Sunday, a hand in hand between Antonio and Juan Bienvenida, the weight of the bulls begins to be announced before leaving the ring.
June 16th, 1960. Antonio Bienvenida killed two bullfights on the same day, one in the afternoon and another at night. However this second was incomplete on the part of the bullfighter because he suffered a leg cramp during the fight of the third bull, preventing him from continuing, making him in his place the outstanding, Antonio Mahíllo, who made a return to the ring after the death of the sixth burel .
17th September 1961. During the celebration of this day, a bullfight, the crossbow puyas were tested, rectified at present.
July 7, 1963. On the night that goes from this day to the next, there was a major fire in the Plaza de Toros, as a result of which broadsides were practically destroyed. However, in order not to lose too many celebrations, fast reconditioning works are developed, with which the suppression of a single celebration is achieved, resuming the 11 season days later.
July 18, 1963. For the first time a rejoneador, Fermín Bohórquez, deals with a res in points.
12th October 1963. The bullfighter Emilio Oliva, that afternoon confirmed the alternative, was seriously wounded. In his reappearance, months later, he would be hurt again of importance, as in two other occasions, becoming one of the most severely punished by bulls in the history of the Plaza.
August 15th, 1964, the banderillero nicknamed "El Coli", was gored and killed by the first bull of the afternoon. The celebration was suspended after the death of the third. "El Coli", was in the Copano squad.
May 18th 1965. The bullfighter of the square, Andrés Villegas, was gored by a bull of Antonio Pérez Angoso.
May 19th 1967. A bullock of Baltasar Ibán was returned to the corrals, after being sentenced to black banderillas, and having proceeded to punish him.
May 25th 1967. Curro Romero refused to kill the 5º bull, so he proceeded to his arrest by the authority and transferred to police station, where he would spend a few hours. The next day he went back to fighting, leaving through the Puerta Grande.
May 18th 1968. During the fight of the sixth bull of the ranch of solitude Escribano, which belonged to Manuel Benítez "El Cordobés", the bullfighter, Miguel Mateo "Miguelín" was spontaneously thrown into the ring. This one passed his hands by the loins of the animal, what is denominated "to do the piano", reason why it was stopped. When asked why he responded to this fact, he wanted to show the public that what bullfighters in Palma del Río were fighting were animals without race. Days later, "Miguelín" bullied the press run and cut six ears that earned him his exit through the Puerta Grande.
June 4th, 1970. The traditional Corrida de la Beneficencia is celebrated, with a single sword that unselfishly fights six bulls from different herds: Paco Camino. The master of Camas, would establish the record of ears cut by a bullfighter in a single celebration in the Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas: eight in total.
May 22th 1971. They are fought for the first time in the Mexican Bullring, specifically the livestock of Mimihuapán. One of the cattle was rewarded with the return to the ring.
May 22th 1972. Palomo Linares is awarded the last tail that has been cut to date in the Plaza de Las Ventas. The precedent, more than 30 years before.
30th September 1973. Gregorio Sánchez, one of the most important bullfighters in the history of the Plaza de Madrid, retires from the ring, cutting his ponytail before bulls from Aleas.
May 25th 1975. They were injured the two right-handers who participated in a heads up, Francisco Ruiz Miguel and Antonio José Galán, as well as the outstanding Julian de Mata, so the sixth bull could not kill himself.
May 15th 1977. A bullfight is held to raise funds for the Antonio Bienvenida monument, located on the main plaza of the bullring. Only one right-handed actor, Andrés Vázquez, performed through the Puerta Grande.
July 20, 1980. They act for the first time in the arena of Las Ventas the Portuguese forges of Santarem.
June 3th, 1981. Due to the expectation that the bullfight had raised by those who acted: Antoñete, Curro Romero and Rafael de Paula, was interrupted by rain for half an hour and was not suspended as is de rigueur.
June 1th, 1982 .The three swords, Francisco Ruiz Miguel, Luis Francisco Esplá and José Luis Palomar leave next to the cattleman Victorino Martín on the shoulders of the square. The result of the celebration called this one by many as "the run of the century."
June 5th, 1982. The second bull that corresponded to José Cubero "Yiyo", sixth of the afternoon of the cattle ranch of Alonso Moreno de la Cova, fell down after colliding with a burladero, so the right-hander could only kill one.
July 19, 1982. During the celebration of the traditional Corrida de la Prensa, the bull "Belador", of Victorino Martín cattle ranching, was pardoned by popular demand, the only case in the life of the history of the Plaza de Las Ventas. The fight corresponded to the right-hander José Ortega Cano from Cartagena.

** May 2, José Miguel Arroyo "Joselito", acts alone to kill six bulls from different farms in a Goyesque bullfight that commemorated the Day of the Community of Madrid and 250 years of the birth of the famous painter Francisco de Goya and Lucientes. The artistic result of it was sensational for the right-hander from Madrid, as he cut a total of six ears.
1998
** The 12 of May, confirmed the alternative Cristina Sánchez. Historical fact because it is the first confirmation of a bullfighter in the ring of the Plaza de Madrid.

** The 20 of May was suspended after the death of the second bull when the three bullfighters were in the infirmary: David Mora, Antonio Nazaré and Saúl Jiménez Fortes. The first of them was seriously injured and did not reappear in the Plaza de Las Ventas until the year 2016.
